Why does this service exist?
Most of us have things we want to say to the people in our lives. Things we put off, forget, or never find the right moment for. I Am Dead exists so those words are never lost.
It's not about death. It's about what you want to leave behind. A message to your daughter. An explanation to an old friend. Words that matter, delivered at the right moment.
How does it work?
Write your message
Share freely in a conversation with our AI, or write directly. You decide what to say and to whom. Add photos, audio or video if you like.
Appoint a trusted person
Choose someone you trust who can confirm if you're no longer here. They can never read your messages or know who the recipients are.
We take care of the rest
The system regularly checks that you're okay. If you can no longer respond, your trusted person is contacted. Only when everything is confirmed are your messages delivered.

What if I change my mind?

Can anyone read my messages before delivery?
No. All messages are encrypted and can only be read by the intended recipient, after delivery. Not even we can see the content.
What is a trusted person?
Someone you choose who can confirm that you're no longer here. They have no access to your messages and don't know who the recipients are. Their only task is to answer a simple question if that day comes.
How does the system know I'm no longer alive?
The system sends regular reminders to log in. If you don't respond for an extended period, your trusted person is contacted. Confirmation is always required before anything happens, and you can stop the process at any time.
